I envisage a comic kind of 3-way socratic dialogue here. - JW
The Scene
A Sandpit, in a School Playground. Narcissa and Clarissa are squabbling over some Toys.
Narcissa (pulling hair): You get what you pay for! There's no such thing as a free sandpit!
Clarissa (spitting): But sandpits and toys want to be free!
Enter Prudence, a much younger Girl
Prudence: Can i play with you in the sandpit?
N: Certainly! I'm the sandpit monitor. Sandpit usage per hour will be 1/3 of your lunch money, and each toy you play with will cost you and extra Eurocent per use, or five times as much if you want to share the toy with someone else.
P: I, i spent all my lunch money on chocolate pudding already. But i brought my own toy, look, i just want to see what i can build out of sand.
C:: Have some sand, then! (picks up bucketful, gleefully throws it out of the sandpit).
- .. you can imagine how this goes along just from this...
There are plenty of AlternativeModels that don't involve having to charge for all geodata access or giving everything away.
